We are your competent partner when it comes to the treatment, recovery and disposal of mineral waste. For this,
we use the disused areas of the mines in Heilbronn and Bad Friedrichshall. We backfill
these chambers created by salt mining with your waste.
STABILISATION OF CHAMBERS
Our parent company, Südwestdeutsche Salzwerke AG, has mined rock salt at the two mining locations of Heilbronn and
Bad Friedrichshall (Kochendorf) for more than one hundred years. The mining activities created caverns with a volume of around 60 million m³, and new ones are constantly being added by the salt-mining operations in Heilbronn. These caverns are backfilled with suitable materials to stabilise them. In addition, this creates valuable resources that have been used for many years for the disposal of mineral waste with a high standard of safety.
SEPARATED FROM THE BIOSPHERE
The geological conditions of our mines are ideal. Thick layers of rock and salt separate your waste from the biosphere safely and without a need for further treatment. The waste is stored in the salt rock at a depth of 180 m and is completely sealed off from the salt there.

- Professional backfilling of the shaft after the operative phase

LONG-TERM SAFETY CERTIFICATE
The mines in Heilbronn and Bad Friedrichshall have an officially recognised long-term safety certificate. This guarantees an environmentally friendly recovery of the waste. The recovery of waste requires safe handling in line with occupational safety requirements as well as evidence of the specified geomechanical quality.

Continuous monitoring and quality assurance measures accompany:

The incoming tests, analytical controls and detailed documentation meet the high quality requirements. In addition to internal tests, regular controls and monitoring are also carried out on site by independent testing institutes and authorities.
